Acorn Stairlifts

All 26 members of the production team working in the Shipley factory of Acorn Stairlifts have passed an NVQ qualification in Performing Manufacturing Operations delivered by Bradford College.

Allison Wear, Acorn’s Factory Manager said “We needed to improve efficiency in order to meet increasing demands for our stairlifts, both in the UK and abroad. The working practices within the factory have improved and our health & safety procedures are at a very high standard. Both Acorn and our staff have found the course highly beneficial.”

Following the success of the Shipley course, a further 15 staff at Acorn’s Steeton factory are due to start the same qualification in January.
